The San Francisco Treat. A Pete Biro Inspiration A close up effect that is clever and subtle in the Biro manner. Lends itself beautifully to a series of card effects, of which this is the climax. The prop is a very fine little wind up Frog, obtained by us with great difficulty. We were fortunate to make this purchase of a limited number of the little guys.Effect: The Frog comes complete with a drawstring bag to be carried in. This is left lying on the table or bar. To get into the trick, Pete likes to do a series of discoveries with the same card. Or a card can be selected, some one signs it with a felt pen, and it is returned to the deck. Then he turns to a nearby girl and says: "Please open the bag and bring out my little assistant. But be careful, he bites!" This remark is made just as her hand goes in the bag, and is good for some laughable situations. Finally the Frog is brought out on the table. When another spectator winds him up, he hops around madly on the spread out deck, but fails to find the card. Pete casually picks up the bag by one corner and shakes it. The selected and signatured card drops out on the table! (Or a third spectator could shake the bag out. Three spectators involved in a good close up trick makes you look like Super-Magician.)
